The Luxembourg Hockey League is starting into the 2023/2024 season with quite a lot of news. Here's your quick summary:

3 news teams, 11 in total!

In only its third year, the Luxembourg Hockey League is continuing it's impressive growth. This year, three new teams are joining the league: Grands Ducs Luxembourg, Beaufort Knights 3, Hurricanes Luxembourg 2 (which is an U18 national selection gathering talent from all clubs). There will be 5 teams in division 1 and 6 teams in division 2. In Division 1, the newly founded Grands Ducs Luxembourg are hoping to make a run for the championship. Their pre-season games have been promising, but it will be a tough battle. Last year's finalists Tornado Luxembourg and Beaufort Knights have started their seasons in France and Belgium with success, while the three main challengers Puckers Luxembourg, Grands Ducs Luxembourg as well as the Hurricanes seem to be in great shape as well.

One game every 3 days!

More and more hockey games are played in Luxembourg. This year, on average, we will have a senior hockey game every 3 days. That's a new record.

Division 2 Kick-off tonight: Silverbacks Luxembourg vs. Tornado Women

The kick-off will be made tonight, with a division 2 game between the Silverbacks Luxembourg and the Tornado's Womens team.

Date of the finals tournament to be confirmed still

The big final tournament will take place in May, but the date is still to be confirmed. Last year's finals tournament was a huge success, with over 1500 people attending and a packed Arena in Kockelscheuer. Currently, two dates are in discussion: May 4-5, or May 11-12. We will communicate the final date once we have it.
